Jigawa Governor Namadi Signs ₦75bn Supplementary Budget into Law

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has signed into law a ₦75 billion supplementary budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
The appropriation bill, earlier scrutinised and approved by the State House of Assembly, was signed on Monday at the Government House in Dutse.
The supplementary budget allocates ₦58 billion to the state government, while ₦17.109 billion is designated for the 27 local government councils.

Governor Namadi explained that the additional funds would be directed towards enhancing ongoing projects and programmes in key sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and other developmental initiatives.
In December 2024, the governor presented a ₦698.3 billion budget for the 2025 fiscal year. With the latest appropriation, the total budget for the state now stands at ₦756.3 billion.
