The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released fresh statistics on the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In its weekly online pre-registration figures covering September 22 to 28, 2025, which marked Week Six of the exercise, INEC said a total of 6,232,673 registrations were recorded.

The breakdown shows 3,250,338 females, representing 52.15 percent, and 2,982,335 males, representing 47.85 percent. Youths between the ages of 18 and 34 accounted for 4,230,715 of the registrations, while students made up 1,565,824. Persons with disabilities constituted 137,865.

On completed registrations, both online and physical, covering September 22 to 26, 2025 (Week Five), the Commission said it recorded 1,004,132. Out of this number, 537,743 were completed online, while 466,389 were completed physically.

Further analysis shows that 555,077 of those who completed registration were females (55.28 percent), while 449,055 were males (44.72 percent). Youths in the 18–34 category accounted for 742,379, while students and persons with disabilities made up 354,406 and 13,987 respectively.
