PDP Elects Grassroots Executives, Targets 2027 Victory in Adamawa

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State has elected new executives across the 21 local government areas to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party adopted a consensus arrangement to select the officers, a decision leaders said was aimed at fostering unity and reducing disputes.

Chairman of the Adamawa PDP Local Governments Congress Committee, retired Hon. David Iorhembe, who supervised the exercise in Yola South, Yola North, and Gerei Local Government Areas on Monday, commended the smooth conduct of the congresses.

“I am satisfied with the large turnout and the maturity our members have shown today. The consensus option has really helped to unite the party and avoid unnecessary tension,” Iorhembe said.

He credited Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for what he described as major achievements and visionary leadership, noting that the governor’s performance has strengthened the PDP’s appeal across the state.

The congress committee chairman urged members to continue backing the governor and to remain united in pursuit of electoral success in 2027.

“PDP remains the party to beat come 2027, and with the unity we have shown here today, I am confident we will deliver,” he added.
