The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has taken a swipe at former Governor Aminu Tambuwal, describing him as “politically dead”.

State Chairman of the party, Sadiq Achida, made the remark while addressing journalists on Monday in Sokoto.

Achida said Tambuwal lacked an independent political base, insisting that his rise to prominence was made possible through the influence of political godfathers, particularly Senator Aliyu Wamakko.

He maintained that the former governor’s political career had reached a dead end.

“No Abuja alliance, no media propaganda, and no recycled coalition can revive a politician whose only legacy is propaganda and a collapsed state,” Achida declared.

The APC chairman further alleged that Tambuwal failed to formally hand over to his successor in 2023 to avoid accountability for what he described as a state littered with incomplete projects.
