The Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe State, Abdulrahman Buba Zaune, has resigned from the party and is expected to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Zaune announced his resignation in a letter dated August 5, 2026, addressed to the ADC Ward Chairman in Zaune Ward, Dukku Local Government Area. He said his decision takes immediate effect.
In the letter, he expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunity to serve in different capacities.
“I sincerely appreciate the political party for the opportunity to serve in different capacities ranging from Local Government, State and National levels respectively. I therefore wish the party well,” he stated.
Political Realignment
Zaune’s resignation comes less than 24 hours after the APC governorship candidate in Gombe State, Jamilu Isiyaka Gwamna, visited Dukku Local Government Area, the hometown of the former ADC spokesman.
