2027: APC Chieftain Calls for Tinubu, Kwankwaso Reconciliation

A member of the National Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sam Nkire, has called for reconciliation between President Bola Tinubu and the leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Nkire also urged President Tinubu to consider initiating outreach that could pave the way for Kwankwaso’s return to the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC stalwart maintained that collaboration between the two political figures would strengthen Tinubu’s electoral chances and stressed the need for constructive dialogue between the APC and the NNPP.

He noted that political alliances could play a decisive role in shaping the outcome of the 2027 contest.
Nkire’s appeal comes amid widespread speculation about realignments and new political alliances as the nation moves toward the next election cycle.

Kwankwaso remains a dominant figure in northern politics, and there have been reports suggesting that the former Kano State governor could return to the APC before 2027.
