Tinubu Begins Annual Leave, Heads to Europe

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday departed Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.

According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Sunday, Tinubu’s first stop will be London, United Kingdom.

The President is expected to spend three weeks on the vacation before returning to Nigeria.

Onanuga said Tinubu would return to the country after the working vacation to join the campaign activities ahead of the January 2027 election.

The statement, however, did not disclose other European destinations the President would visit during the vacation.

The development comes as political parties and their candidates prepare for the 2027 general elections, with campaigns expected to intensify in the coming months.
