Tinubu Arrives Nairobi for Africa-Forward Summit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to attend the Africa Forward Summit jointly hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Tinubu touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the early hours of Monday and was welcomed by Musalia Mudavadi, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, alongside Isaac Parashina, Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, senior Kenyan officials and members of Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in the country.
The summit is expected to bring together African leaders, policymakers, business executives, development partners and other stakeholders to discuss economic growth, trade, infrastructure, digital innovation, climate resilience and other issues affecting the continent.

Meeting Aims to Strengthen Diplomatic Ties
In a statement, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu would hold bilateral and multilateral meetings aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic ties with other African countries.
According to the statement, the president’s participation reflects the administration’s commitment to supporting African-led solutions to continental challenges and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda through international partnerships.
Tinubu is accompanied by several ministers and senior government officials, including Bianca Ojukwu, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security; Adegboyega Oyetola, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy; Balarabe Lawal, Minister of Environment; Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment; and Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.
Others on the delegation are Aisha Rimi, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council; Sola Enikanolaiye, Minister of State-designate for Foreign Affairs; Omotenioye Majekodunmi, Director-General of the National Council on Climate Change; and Ayodele Oke, Nigeria’s Ambassador to France.
