Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Fadahunsi, has arrived at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo for questioning over alleged inciting comments.
Channels Television reports that Fadahunsi arrived at about 2:35 p.m. on Wednesday, accompanied by the Commissioner of Police in charge of election and security, Samuel Erale.
The senator’s invitation followed the circulation of a campaign video from an All Progressives Congress rally in Ilesa, where he was allegedly heard speaking in Yoruba.
His remarks were interpreted as urging his supporters to kill members of the rival Accord Party.
The development comes as political activities intensify ahead of the Osun State governorship election scheduled for Saturday.
Police Invitation
The Osun State Police Command had on Tuesday directed Fadahunsi to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department for questioning over the video.

The command described the alleged comments as threatening and inciting, warning that they could heighten tension ahead of the election.
Fadahunsi’s appearance before the police is enable the police authorities to question him over the context and meaning of the remarks contained in the viral campaign video.
Fadahunsi has denied claims that he incited violence ahead of the Osun State governorship election, insisting that a viral video circulating on social media misrepresented his comments.
The Osun East senator said portions of his speech were deliberately edited to create a false impression of what he actually said during a political gathering.
He stressed that what he meant was for his supporters to “kill Accord party with their votes not violence”
