Davido Leads Youth Campaign for Adeleke’s Re-election Bid

Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has appealed to residents of Osun State to maintain peace and shun violence ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

Speaking during a youth campaign mobilisation event for Governor Ademola Adeleke, his uncle who is contesting under the Accord Party, Davido urged eligible voters to participate peacefully in the election without fear or intimidation.

He described Governor Adeleke as one of the state’s best-performing governors and expressed confidence that the governor would secure another term at the polls.

“I speak to you today not just as Davido, but as one of your own, as a voice for our people,” he said.

Davido also made a public appeal to an unnamed political figure from Imo State, urging the individual not to interfere in the Osun governorship election.

According to him, there were rumours of attempts to influence the election, although he stressed that he was not presenting the claims as established facts.
