Security operatives on Tuesday evening arrested scores of suspected kidnappers along the Olayinka axis of the Ajasepo/Igbaja/Oke-Ode highway in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Authorities carried out the operation after intelligence reports linked the suspects to bandit networks operating in parts of the Kwara South Senatorial District.
Coordinator of the Joint Security Watch in Kwara South, Zubair Olaitan, confirmed the arrests on Wednesday.

Bandits Spreading Across Communities
Olaitan added that intelligence reports indicated that bandits from Baba Sango and Oro-Ago had begun spreading to other parts of Kwara South.
The arrests form part of intensified security operations aimed at curbing kidnapping and related crimes in the state.
He assured residents that security agencies remain on high alert and are committed to dismantling criminal networks in the region.
