2Baba Opens up on Past Mistakes, Takes Responsibility

Afrobeats icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has opened up about regrets over past decisions in his career and personal life. In addition, he admits that he wishes he could correct some of his mistakes.

Speaking in a recent interview on the Mic On podcast, the award-winning musician said pressure shaped certain moments in his life. He added that emotional overwhelm also played a role.

“There are so many things I wish I could rewind and do better. As a human being, there are times when you feel overwhelmed,” he said.

The veteran singer explained that some of his past actions stemmed from poor judgment during challenging periods, noting that his emotional resilience has changed over time.

“My thick skin is weaker now,” 2Baba admitted, reflecting on how life experiences have altered his outlook.

He also addressed reports of an alleged altercation involving his wife, Natasha Osawaru, during a visit to London, taking responsibility for his conduct.

“I was angry that day. It was an unfortunate incident,” he said.

The comments mark a rare moment of personal reflection from the music legend, who has enjoyed decades of success while navigating public scrutiny over his private life.
