Nigerian music star Davido has publicly thanked his father, Adedeji Adeleke, for defending him amid a renewed paternity dispute involving an alleged baby mama, Ayo Labinjoh.
Davido shared the appreciation on Thursday via his Instagram page, posting a photo of himself with his father and writing, “Thank you, my loving Father.”
The controversy resurfaced last week after Ayo Labinjoh’s teenage daughter, Aanu Adeleke, wrote an open letter to Davido demanding a paternity test. The letter sparked widespread reactions on social media.
Davido denied knowing Ayo Labinjoh and insisted that previous DNA tests had already resolved the matter.

In a series of posts on X, the singer said five DNA tests conducted in the past confirmed that Aanu Adeleke is not his daughter.
He dismissed the renewed claims as baseless.
However, Ayo Labinjoh rejected the results, describing the DNA tests as fake and maintaining that Davido is her daughter’s biological father.
Addressing the issue during a press conference on Wednesday, Adedeji Adeleke defended his son and provided further details on the DNA process. He disclosed that the paternity test involved both Davido and his cousin, fellow singer B-Red.
His public intervention marked the first time a member of the Adeleke family directly addressed the controversy.
