American music magazine Billboard has unveiled its list of the Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time, ranking 2Baba’s iconic hit African Queen at number one.
Wizkid emerged as the only artist with double entries in the top 10, with Ojuelegba at number two and Essence featuring Tems at number five.
Flavour’s Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix) placed third, Rema’s Calm Down fourth, while CKay’s Love Nwantiti, D’banj’s Oliver Twist, Davido’s Fall, Burna Boy’s Ye and P-Square’s Chop My Money Remix (feat. Akon) completed the top 10.
Ghana Makes Its Mark
Despite Nigeria’s dominance, Ghana’s Fuse ODG (Azonto) and Sarkodie (Adonai feat. Castro) secured spots at 18 and 19 respectively.

Styl-Plus’ Olufunmi ranked 11th, 9ice’s Gongo Aso 12th, while P-Square’s Do Me and Davido’s Dami Duro landed 13th and 14th. Yemi Alade emerged as the highest-ranking female with Johnny at number 15. Wande Coal’s Bumper to Bumper (17) and Phyno’s Fada Fada featuring Olamide (20) rounded off the top 20.
