Nafiu Bala-led ADC Suspends Nwosu, Rufai, 13 Others

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by its National Chairman, Nafiu Bala, has suspended 15 party members over alleged anti-party activities.

Those affected include Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu and Balarabe Rufai, alongside 13 others.

The decision was taken at the NWC’s regular meeting held on Thursday and chaired by Gombe, according to a statement issued after the meeting.

The party leadership accused the suspended members of engaging in activities it said undermined the unity and stability of the ADC.

Allegations of Anti-party Conduct

The factional NWC alleged that some members collaborated with coalition groups in ways that caused disaffection among party members and disrupted the smooth conduct of party affairs.

Bala said the suspensions, which will last for six months, were approved pursuant to Article 15(a) of the party’s constitution.
