According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Balarabe Kiru, the group was led by the APC woman leader in the area, Hajiya Sabuwa Tarai.

Defection Motivated By Gov. Abba’s Achievement

Tarai said their decision to join the NNPP was influenced by the developmental strides of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration across the state.

“We are impressed by the numerous projects executed by Governor Yusuf both at the local government and state levels,” she stated.

Kibiya commended the defectors for their decision and assured them of equal opportunity within the NNPP. He urged them to contribute actively to the party’s growth and success in future elections.
