Tinubu Returns to Abuja After 10-Day Working Visit to Lagos

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after completing a 10-day working visit to Lagos, where he held a series of engagements with investors and attended several official functions.
Tinubu, who arrived in Lagos on September 26 after attending the coronation of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, used the visit to strengthen economic partnerships.
During his stay, the president met with prominent investors including Bayo Ogunlesi, Chief Executive Officer of Global Infrastructure Partners, and Hakeem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital Partners.
He also received the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Mr Arsenio Dominguez, in the company of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and other industry stakeholders.

Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to positioning Nigeria’s maritime industry as a viable alternative to fossil fuel dependency and a key driver of economic diversification.
Visit to Imo and Independence Day Activities
Ahead of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, the President travelled to Imo State, where he commissioned several projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
While in the state, Tinubu also unveiled a book authored by Governor Uzodimma documenting ten years of All Progressives Congress (APC) governance in Nigeria.
On Independence Day, the President addressed the nation from the historic State House, Dodan Barracks, Lagos, where he reflected on national progress and reaffirmed his administration’s reform agenda.
Cultural and Personal Engagements
As part of his Lagos engagements, Tinubu inaugurated the renovated National Theatre complex, which has been renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, in honour of the Nobel Laureate.
On Saturday, he travelled to Jos, Plateau State, to attend the burial of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.
At the ceremony, the president paid tribute to the late matriarch, describing her as a woman of faith and integrity, while reaffirming his commitment to religious harmony and national unity.
