President says perpetrators of the attack that left 30 dead will face justice 

 

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force and intelligence agencies to track down those responsible for the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, reportedly claimed the lives of about 30 people, including women and children, while several houses were set ablaze.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President condemned the killings, describing the incident as an unprovoked act of terrorism against innocent and defenceless residents.

Tinubu said those behind the attack would not escape justice, warning that anyone seeking to undermine the peace and security recorded in Kaduna State would be brought to book.

He directed security agencies to step up operations in the affected communities with the aim of apprehending the attackers and restoring normalcy.

“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.

Tinubu also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the country’s security architecture, improving the capacity of security personnel and dismantling criminal groups threatening national peace.

The President extended his condolences to the families of those killed, as well as the Kaduna State Government and residents of the state over the tragedy.

He assured the State Governor, Uba Sani, and the affected communities that the Federal Government would continue to support efforts aimed at tackling insecurity and protecting lives and property across the country.
