2027: Tinubu Support Group Dismisses ADC, NDC Chances of Defeating Tinubu in Kano

The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has dismissed the chances of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) defeating President Bola Tinubu in Kano State in the 2027 presidential election.

The group’s Director-General, Umar Yakasai, expressed confidence in Tinubu’s electoral prospects in the state during the inauguration of the group’s national structure and state executive committees at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.

Yakasai said the support of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, alongside the grassroots mobilisation of TSG members, would strengthen Tinubu’s chances of securing victory in the state.

He described Yusuf as a strong supporter of the president and highlighted the governor’s empowerment programmes for women and youths, scholarships and infrastructure projects across the state.

The TSG director-general also directed the group’s officials across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to begin immediate grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 election.

He said the group was determined to campaign vigorously and mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election.

Yakasai’s comments come amid efforts by opposition parties, including the ADC and NDC, to strengthen their structures ahead of the 2027 presidential contest.

The TSG maintained that its mobilisation efforts and support from key political actors in Kano would give Tinubu an advantage in the state.
