Nigeria’s technology-driven Credit Rating Agency, DataPro, said it will hold its annual virtual training for media practitioners on March 26, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen reporting standards in the financial sector.
The agency announced this in a statement signed by its Senior Financial Analyst, Victoria Balogun, on Monday, March 23.
The training programme, introduced in 2021 under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, is aimed at enhancing awareness among the investing public on the value propositions of the credit rating industry.

Participants expected at the virtual event include professionals from the print and electronic media, editors of capital market publications, financial analysts, communication officers, and financial industry influencers.
Speaking on the theme, ‘Reporting Financial Analysis in the Age of AI,’ the Company’s Executive Director/Chief Rating Officer, Mr Oladele Adeoye, said, “Financial reporting is no longer just about numbers; it is about trust, transparency, and resilience. In the age of AI, media practitioners must be equipped to interpret dynamic data and communicate it in ways that empower society.”
The primary objective of the training, according to the company, is to equip media practitioners with a practical understanding of how artificial intelligence tools are reshaping financial reporting and analysis.
DataPro also organises the International Credit Rating Webinar annually every October as part of its continued efforts to promote the rating industry and deepen stakeholder engagement.
The agency is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
