The Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared its intention to expand its membership base and position itself to take over power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

Speaking during a leadership meeting in Kaduna on Thursday, the State Chairman of the party, Elder Patric Ambut, said the ADC is well-structured and ready to serve as a credible alternative for the people. He commended the growing interest of Kaduna residents in joining the party and called for stronger cooperation among coalition partners.

“Our doors are open to anyone who shares the ADC’s ideology, and we are ready to work with all partners to take over the state and the country in 2027,” Ambut said.

He urged members to return to their wards and revalidate their membership, stressing that discontent with the APC’s leadership style has created an opening for change.

Also speaking, the immediate past State Chairman, Hon. Philemon Kure, described the ADC as “a breath of fresh air”, committed to a democratic and united Nigeria that prioritises citizens’ welfare. He said the party stands for policies that promote national unity, economic growth, and improved living standards for all Nigerians.
