MultiChoice, Nigeria’s leading pay-TV provider, has announced a fresh reduction in the prices of its DStv and GOtv decoders, effective November 1.
The DStv decoder now sells for ₦7,900, down from ₦10,000, while the GOtv decoder has been reduced to ₦6,500.
This marks the second major price adjustment in recent months as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to make premium entertainment more accessible.

The move follows a similar price cut in June under the company’s “We’ve Got You” campaign, when DStv decoders were slashed by 50%, from ₦20,000 to ₦10,000, and GOtv decoders fell from ₦18,600 to ₦9,900.
Tope Oshunkeye, MultiChoice’s Executive Head of Marketing, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring Nigerians can enjoy quality local and international programming without stretching their budgets, particularly as the festive season approaches.

“This price adjustment provides families with a great opportunity to spend quality time together while enjoying premium entertainment at an affordable cost,” Oshunkeye added.
