Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has singled out Morocco winger Brahim Diaz for praise ahead of Wednesday night’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final showdown.
Chelle described the Real Madrid forward as a quality player who has played a key role in Morocco’s impressive run at the tournament.
Diaz currently leads the AFCON scoring chart with five goals, having found the net in each of Morocco’s five matches so far.

The 26-year-old is also on the brink of setting a historic record. A goal against Nigeria would make him the first player to score in six consecutive AFCON matches.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Chelle acknowledged Morocco’s overall strength while highlighting Diaz’s influence. “Morocco are a strong team with qualities and weaknesses,” Chelle said in comments published by CAFOnline.
“Brahim Diaz is a good player, and the Moroccan team as a whole is very good.”
