The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) reported a profit after tax of ₦535 billion for June 2026, a 15.8% increase from May’s ₦462 billion.
This figure is contained in the NNPC monthly financial and operations report for the month of June 2026.
The figure marks the company’s highest monthly profit in 10 months, driven by a sharp rebound in crude oil sales volumes.
According to the report, NNPC also recorded an increase in its total revenue from ₦4.34 trillion in May to ₦4.39 trillion in June, reflecting a 1.2 per cent increase month on month.
Crude oil and gas production, Sales
Crude oil and condensate production averaged 1.72 million barrels per day, slightly down from May’s 1.73 mbpd due to operational disruptions, facility integrity issues, and subsurface challenges across several assets.

Natural gas production, however, rose to 7.841 mmscf/d from 7.774 mmscf/d in May, representing a modest 0.86 per cent increase, continuing the company’s upward trajectory in gas production.
The report shows that a total of 28.23 million barrels of crude oil and condensates were sold in June, a significant increase (approximately 49 per cent) from 18.985 million barrels sold in May.
Natural gas sold stood at 4,907 mmscf/d, a slight increase from 4,921 mmscf/d sales recorded in May.
On infrastructure, the report said the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline project has progressed to 98 per cent completion, with final tie-in works ongoing towards achieving First Gas in August 2026. It also indicated that the AKK pipeline is at 94 per cent completion, supporting the goal of delivering gas to Abuja in 2026.
