AFCON 2025: Morocco, Cameroon Advance as Egypt, Nigeria Play Today

 

Morocco booked a place in the AFCON 2025 quarter-finals after a narrow 1–0 win over Tanzania on Sunday.

The North Africans controlled much of the match and converted their dominance into a crucial goal. The victory keeps Morocco firmly in contention for the title.

Cameroon also reached the last eight with a 2–1 victory over South Africa on Sunday night.

The Indomitable Lions relied on experience and composure to secure the win. South Africa fought back but failed to force extra time.

Monday Fixtures Take Centre Stage

Round of 16 action continues on Monday with two more matches. Egypt will face the Benin Republic at the Stade Adrar in Agadir. The Pharaohs will look to assert their pedigree in the knockout stage.

Later in the night, Nigeria’s Super Eagles will take on Mozambique at the Fez Stadium in Fes.
