APGA Unveils 489-member Campaign Council for Soludo’s Re-election

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has inaugurated a 489-member campaign council to drive the re-election of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, ahead of the November 8 governorship poll.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Awka, APGA National Chairman, Mr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, described the event as a decisive step toward victory, insisting that the governor’s return to office was already sealed.

“There is no real contest in the November 8 election. The people of Anambra have already endorsed Governor Soludo’s candidacy,” Ezeokenwa declared.

The Anambra State Chairman of APGA, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, assured that the party would mobilise every ward across the state to ensure massive support for Soludo at the polls.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the Campaign Council and Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, emphasised that elections are won at the grassroots, stressing that engagement at polling units and ward levels would be central to the party’s strategy.

The National Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and former Anambra Deputy Governor, Mr. Emeka Sibudu, pledged the support of the pan-Igbo organisation to Soludo, praising his performance in office.

“Governor Soludo is doing exceptionally well. Our support is to encourage him to continue the commendable work which the people of Anambra can readily attest to,” Sibudu said. “It is evident he is performing. We in Ohanaeze Ndigbo congratulate him for his great achievements in the state.”

In his response, Governor Soludo said APGA had emerged stronger despite past internal crises, noting that the party had consistently achieved electoral victories.

“This campaign council of 489 members represents a movement within Anambra’s 8.5 million people. As members, you are all apostles of this mission,” the governor declared.

The campaign inauguration comes as preparations intensify for the November governorship election, which APGA leaders insist will reaffirm Soludo’s mandate.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Reconciliation Committee for Anambra State, Johnbosco Onunkwo, has urged party youths to spearhead efforts to end the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s (APGA) 19-year dominance in the state.
