Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Reconciliation Committee for Anambra State, Johnbosco Onunkwo, has urged party youths to spearhead efforts to end the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s (APGA) 19-year dominance in the state.

Onunkwo made the call while receiving an honorary award as Grand Patron of the APC Youth League during the inauguration of its newly elected executive council at the APC State Secretariat in Awka.

Represented by his media aide, Emmanuel Ifediata, the APC chieftain described the unification of Anambra youths under the Youth League as a major step toward establishing what he called a youth-driven government in the state.

He charged them to remain steadfast, resist distractions, and place collective interest above personal ambition.

According to him, grassroots mobilisation would be critical in challenging APGA’s hold on the state.

“Our youths are ready, determined, and organised to make this happen. Our mission is clear: unite, mobilise, and deliver APC victory for the future of Anambra youth,” he declared.

Meanwhile, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who is seeking re-election on the APGA platform, has said the November 8 governorship election would be approached with utmost seriousness.

He maintained that he has no real opponents in the contest, dismissing other aspirants as seeking appointments and cheap popularity.
