2027: Peter Obi Will Not Be Labour Party Presidential Candidate – Arabambi

“No Light, No Second Term Vote” – Obi Tells Tinubu After Another Grid Collapse

Factional National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Abayomi Arabambi, has declared that Peter Obi will not be the party’s presidential candidate in the 2027 elections.

Arabambi, who spoke on Channels Television’s Lunchtime Politics on Monday, said the party is considering three possible names for the ticket but declined to reveal them. According to him, disclosing the names now could put the individuals at risk of abduction.

“We are going to do our 2027 without Peter Obi, he will not have our ticket. If he likes, let him be promoting Nenadi Usman,” Arabambi stated.

He alleged that Obi and his supporters were pursuing a divisive agenda. “We know their agenda which is to make sure that Nigeria turns to South-East and that is not going to be acceptable,” he said.

Arabambi claimed that the South-East has had significant representation in successive administrations. “We have a lot of southeasterners in the administration of Tinubu, a lot in Buhari’s administration, and even Jonathan. Have you ever seen any one of them moving in this way as agents of destruction? It’s only the Obidient members of Obi that are giving Nigeria a hell of a problem, and I wish them well in their coalition,” he added.

On the possible candidates, Arabambi explained that one is from the South-West, another from the South-South, and the third from the South-East.

He said the party’s deputy presidential candidate is a woman from the South-South with an established reputation, but her name would not be revealed at this stage.

“We are in a discussion right now with them to know the direction that we are going but not like these political extremists like Peter Obi. If we mention their names, I can assure you that they are going to kidnap them because some people are just determined to kill Labour Party as we did not allow them to hijack the party for political insurrection. I know that they will go and kidnap them and we will not have a candidate, that’s why we have to keep it under wrap,” he said.
