Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has alleged that President Bola Tinubu is receiving medical treatment in France, while questioning his absence from the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
Sowore made the allegation in a post on his official Facebook account on Sunday.
“There is something inherently wrong with Nigeria. To think that the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu mummified showcasing and stunts in Paris just went like that, coupled with his inability to go to the UN General Assembly, which I heard is because of his mortal fear that the US govt could order his arrest for his past drug-dealing case, is just surprising,” he wrote.
He criticised Nigerians and supporters of the administration for what he described as their acceptance of the situation.

“Every sycophant is playing along, and society has acquiesced completely,” Sowore said.
The AAC presidential candidate further alleged that Tinubu was not in France for a vacation but for medical treatment.
“Tinubu is not on vacation; he is receiving treatment in France, and they will package him to return as though nothing happened,” he said.
Sowore also compared the situation with the overseas medical trips of former Presidents Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and Muhammadu Buhari.
“We have seen this script before with Yar’Adua and Buhari: secrecy, deception, carefully managed appearances, and a country expected to look away,” he wrote.
He called for what he described as the liberation of Nigeria from the situation.
“Nigeria must be liberated not only from these machinations but from the mentality that sustains them,” Sowore said, ending the post with the hashtag #RevolutionNow.
