Three members of the House of Representatives have defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The House of Rep. members who defected are Inuwa Garuba (Yamaltu/Deba federal constituency of Gombe), Abdullahi El-Rasheed (Dakku/Nafada federal constituency of Gombe), and Mohammed Audu (Karim Lamido Lau/Ardo-Kola federal constituency).

In their letters to the House, the lawmakers attributed their decision to what they described as deepening internal crises, leadership disputes and irreconcilable divisions within their former parties.
As the PDP continues to grapple with its leadership crisis, the defections have strengthened the APC’s numerical advantage in the House of Representatives while expanding its strategic influence across constituencies.
