The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has launched a new FarmerMoni G2P Card for direct payment to verified smallholder farmers while enrolling widows of Nigeria’s fallen heroes as priority beneficiaries under the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope GEEP 3.0.
The initiative, flagged off in the North Central Zone, is designed to tighten beneficiary verification and ensure that agricultural support gets directly to genuine farmers through a secure digital payment system.
Flagging off the exercise, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of NSIPA, Dr. Badamasi Lawal, described the rollout as a defining moment in the implementation of the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP 3.0) and a major step towards eliminating ghost beneficiaries from the programme.
“This card is the instrument that turns registration into reach. It is how we ensure that agricultural support gets to genuine, verifiable farmers, and not to ghosts on a list,” Lawal said.
He said the FarmerMoni G2P Card would link each verified farmer’s biometric and demographic information to a secure wallet, paving the way for direct disbursement.
Lawal also announced the enrolment of widows of fallen heroes as priority beneficiaries, saying the gesture was intended to honour Nigerians who sacrificed their lives in national service.
“We are honoured today to enrol widows of our Fallen Heroes as priority beneficiaries under this programme – a small but deliberate way of saying that the nation remembers those who gave everything in her service,” he said.
In his welcome address, the National Programme Manager of GEEP, Mr. Hamza Ibrahim Baba, said the exercise underscored the Federal Government’s commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusion in the implementation of social investment programmes.

Baba said the G2P Card would link verified farmers’ biometric and demographic profiles directly to secure wallets, providing a system through which government support could be delivered to intended beneficiaries.
“This gathering is not ceremonial alone. It marks the formal commencement of on-the-ground enumeration activity across our North Central states,” he said.
He urged farmers to maintain confidence in the process, while appreciating State Programme Managers, technical partners, enumeration consultants and other stakeholders for their contributions to the rollout.
The event was attended by representatives of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), State Programme Managers, partners, enumeration consultants, farmers and beneficiaries.
The development comes as NSIPA seeks to strengthen the verification and delivery mechanisms of GEEP 3.0, with the agency positioning digital identification and direct payment as safeguards against leakages and the inclusion of non-existent or ineligible beneficiaries.
