The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the just-concluded Anambra State governorship election, Jude Ezenwafor, has expressed his readiness to work with Governor Chukwuma Soludo to advance development across the state.
Speaking on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Ezenwafor said his relationship with Soludo predates the election, describing it as cordial and professional.
He noted that cooperation, not rivalry, is what Anambra needs to move forward.
Ezenwafor recalled playing a role in encouraging Soludo’s involvement in the state’s political leadership during his time as Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano.

He explained that his actions reflected his long-standing commitment to the progress of Anambra rather than political alignment.
Commends the State Government on Security Efforts
The PDP candidate praised the Soludo administration for its efforts in addressing security challenges. He urged the governor to strengthen collaboration among security agencies and community stakeholders to ensure safer environment across the state.

Ezenwafor also stressed the importance of inclusivity in governance, advising Governor Soludo to continue engaging diverse political interests to foster unity and stability. He said such collaboration would boost public confidence and encourage wider participation in state development initiatives.
“Governance Should Take Centre Stage”
“With the election over, governance should take centre stage,” Ezenwafor said. “What matters now is how we can all contribute to building a better Anambra.”
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the government’s development agenda and urged other political actors to prioritise the collective interest of the people above party differences.
