Blord Trademarks Ratel, Orders VeryDarkMan to Stop Using Name

Celebrity Nigerian crypto entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has officially trademarked the name “Ratel” and issued a cease and desist to social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM), barring him from using it without permission.

Blord announced the move in a viral Instagram post, stating that VDM can only use the name after obtaining his approval. “I have directed my SAN to issue a cease and desist to VDM to stop using my brand name ‘Ratel’. He will have to get approval from me henceforth before using that name,” he wrote.

The announcement has ignited widespread debate online, adding fuel to the ongoing feud between the two personalities. The conflict dates back to October 2025 when VDM traveled to China to assist Nigerian business owners in sourcing affordable goods. During the trip, he accused Blord of business fraud and overpricing modified gadgets, and allegedly petitioned the police to investigate Blord’s business practices.

“Ratel” is also the name VDM uses to refer to his loyal followers online, making the dispute both a legal and social media clash.
