Mr Jollof Apologises After In-Flight Clash With VeryDarkMan

Comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof, has issued a public apology after his physical altercation with social commentator Martins Otse (VeryDarkMan) aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba to Lagos on Monday.

In an Instagram video, Mr Jollof expressed regret for his role in the fight, stressing that he is “not a violent person” and only acted in self-defence.

He apologised to the NCAA, United Nigeria Airlines, fellow passengers, as well as his wife, children, and boss.

“I sincerely apologise… I was only defending myself. I’m sorry if I delayed your appointments.

This isn’t my kind of person, and it will never happen again,” he said.

He added that although he felt “under attack,” he would never exhibit such behaviour again, promising to uphold better conduct moving forward.

The confrontation, captured in a viral video, showed both men exchanging blows.

VeryDarkMan later boasted that he had “dealt with” Mr Jollof and displayed bite marks on his chest after the scuffle.
