Bauchi Varsity Expels 21, Suspends 4 Over Exam Malpractice, Misconduct

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA), Bauchi State, has expelled twenty-one students for involvement in examination malpractice and misconduct.

The disciplinary measures, endorsed at the 32nd meeting of the University Senate, also saw four students suspended for two semesters, while nineteen others received stern warning letters.

In a statement issued by the Registrar, Halima Garba, the university explained that the decisions followed a thorough investigation and consideration of recommendations from its Disciplinary Committee.

“The University Senate reached this decision after careful deliberation. Henceforth, all staff and students are advised to take note of this development and cease all academic and administrative dealings with the affected students,” the statement read.

Reaffirming FUHSA’s zero tolerance for misconduct, Garba stressed that the institution is committed to upholding discipline, integrity and academic excellence.

She further urged students to abide by the university’s rules and regulations, warning that any act of misconduct would attract strict sanctions.

FUHSA, established to drive excellence in medical and health sciences education, has in recent years intensified efforts to strengthen discipline and raise academic standards across its faculties.
