PenOp Calls on RSA Holders to Update Records as Data Recapture Goes Live

The Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp) has urged Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders to update their records following the launch of the data recapture portal.

The association made the call in a statement seen by Pinnacle Daily on Wednesday.

It stated, “Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) have commenced the rollout of PENCAP, the Data Recapture Self-Service Platform, with the process officially beginning on 1st February.

“The platform enables eligible Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders to conveniently update their personal records remotely, without the need to visit PFA offices.”

Pinnacle Daily earlier reported that the National Pension Commission (PenCom) launched a self-service online data recapture application, known as the Data Recapture Self-Service Platform (PENCAP), on Sunday.

PenOp noted that the PENCAP is targeted at RSA holders who joined the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) on or before 1 July 2019 and have yet to complete the data recapture exercise.

“The successful deployment and implementation of the self-service process has been duly achieved through the coordinated efforts and execution by PenOp, leveraging its expertise in pension operations, data management, and digital process optimisation.

“The fully online process allows RSA holders to complete data recapture using any internet-enabled device, including live biometric capture and document uploads where required,” PenOp said.

The association explained that submissions are reviewed and processed by the contributor’s Pension Fund Administrator, with automated notifications provided at every stage to ensure transparency and accountability.

It stressed that the completion of the data recapture exercise is essential for accessing key pension services, including retirement benefit processing, retiree enrolment and verification, RSA transfers, and other approved transactions.

“Eligible RSA holders who have not completed the exercise are encouraged to take advantage of the self-service option to avoid delays or restrictions.

“The introduction of PENCAP reflects the pension industry’s continued focus on digital innovation, improved efficiency, and enhanced contributor experience, with PenOp playing a central role in supporting PFAs to deliver seamless and reliable service to RSA holders nationwide,” PenOp urged.
