Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has finally spoken on her daughter’s dispute with Senator Ned Nwoko, accusing him of abuse and betrayal.
Regina recently accused the senator of physically assaulting her and said she could no longer remain in the marriage. Ned Nwoko had denied the claim and instead accused Regina of substance abuse.
However, tensions escalated on Monday when Regina alleged that Nwoko ordered the arrest of her elder siblings and threatened her younger sister’s safety.

Reacting to the arrests, Rita Daniels posted a video on Instagram. In it, she accused Nwoko of using Regina to polish his public image and secure political gains.
She claimed Regina supported his senatorial campaign with $50,000, in addition to her own financial support.
“People say she is a gold digger, but we covered your shame,” Rita said. “All my resources went into your election. You bit the finger that fed you.”

According to her, Nwoko married Regina because he wanted fame and relevance, not love.
The fresh accusations deepen the public rift between Regina and Nwoko, and they further fuel the growing controversy around the couple’s marriage.
