Pinnacle Daily reports that the Blue Line, launched in 2023, is part of the Lagos state government’s efforts to expand mass transit and ease traffic congestion in the city.

According to Sanwo-Olu, the Blue Line has transported more than five million passengers in the two years since it was launched.

He hinted that the rail service has operated without a single accident since it began operations.

“Trains now run every 10 minutes, making over 90 trips each day. Journeys that once took much longer have become faster and easier,” Sanwo-Olu said.

Hailing the state’s commitment to the project, he added, “I want to thank you for the trust and support you have shown. This project belongs to all of us, and it is your belief in a greater Lagos that makes progress possible.”
