Chelsea forward Liam Delap and Arsenal’s rising star Myles Lewis-Skelly are among six standout young talents shortlisted for the prestigious PFA Young Player of the Year award.
Joining them on the list are Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, former Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen, Arsenal teenager Ethan Nwaneri, and Aston Villa’s attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers.
Delap recently made a high-profile switch to Chelsea from Ipswich Town in a £30 million deal, following a season where he found the net 12 times in the Premier League—despite Ipswich’s relegation.
Lewis-Skelly impressed for Arsenal throughout the season, marking his progress with a goal on his senior England debut against Albania earlier in the year.
Also representing Arsenal is 17-year-old winger Nwaneri, who made 37 appearances last season and scored nine goals as he continued to build his reputation as one of the most promising youngsters in English football.
Huijsen, who earned a summer transfer to Real Madrid thanks to his commanding performances in the Bournemouth defence, is another notable name on the shortlist. His solid campaign did not go unnoticed by the Spanish giants.
Kerkez, the Hungarian full-back, also enjoyed a breakthrough season at Bournemouth. His consistent displays have drawn strong interest from Liverpool, with the Premier League champions closely monitoring his development.
Rounding out the nominees is Morgan Rogers, who was instrumental in Aston Villa’s strong season. The 21-year-old racked up 14 goals and 15 assists, playing a key role in Villa’s push for a top-four finish.
The winner will be revealed during the PFA Awards ceremony scheduled to take place in Manchester on August 19.
