Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has named three managers he believes the club should consider following the sacking of Ruben Amorim.
With U-18 coach Darren Fletcher set to take interim charge of the senior team for Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Brighton, attention has turned to a permanent replacement.

In a post on X, Ferdinand suggested Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Tuchel, and Xavi Hernandez as ideal candidates for the role.
“I would go… De Zerbi, Tuchel, Xavi, or Darren Fletcher if he does well?” Ferdinand wrote.

Of the three managers mentioned, De Zerbi is currently in charge of Marseille, while Tuchel is managing the England national team. Xavi, meanwhile, has been without a coaching role since leaving Barcelona nearly two years ago.
