In a surprising development, former Manchester United striker and Dutch football legend Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to part ways with Leicester City, the club has confirmed.
The decision to terminate the agreement was reached mutually, with both Van Nistelrooy and the club citing “differences in direction” as the key reason behind the move. The 48-year-old had only recently joined the Foxes in what many considered a bold and promising step in the club’s new era.
A brief statement from Leicester City read:
