AFCON 2025: Lookman Enters Nigeria’s All-Time Top Scorers List

Ademola Lookman has joined the elite group of Nigeria’s top scorers at the Africa Cup of Nations following his goal in the Super Eagles’ victory over Mozambique on Monday.

The Atalanta forward has now scored six goals for Nigeria at AFCON finals. He recorded three goals at the previous tournament in Côte d’Ivoire and has added three more at the ongoing 2025 edition in Morocco.

With this feat, the 28-year-old is now level with former Super Eagles forwards Segun Odegbami and Julius Aghahowa on the AFCON scoring chart.

Rashidi Yekini remains Nigeria’s all-time highest goalscorer at the AFCON with 13 goals, while Austin Okocha sits second with seven goals.
