Keyamo: ‘Atiku Reviving Retired Politicians for Empty Coalition’

By Rafiyat Sadiq

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has described the newly formed coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a futile political venture lacking electoral strength.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said the coalition is made up of “retired” political figures who no longer hold influence.

“We are not resting our oars; let me say that very clearly,” Keyamo stated. “Any politician who says that he sees an opponent and is laughing and beating his chest is a foolish politician. But let me tell you that the ADC is in total tatters, and they are on a journey to nowhere.”

According to him, most members of the coalition are former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who no longer command significant political support.

“They are not people currently in power who can influence a lot of votes. What you have is a gathering of ex-this and ex-that,” Keyamo said. “If there are people who are retired, Atiku eventually went to wake them up from retirement to give him a semblance of a coalition.”

Keyamo emphasised that the APC remains focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections.
