The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) on Wednesday reaffirmed its endorsement of President Bola Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
The National Organising Secretary of the party, Suleiman Argungu, made the declaration at a press conference held at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
Argungu explained that while the NWC and all six geopolitical zones of the party have adopted President Tinubu as their choice, the process remains open to other aspirants.
“It will be the wish of the party, and we, the NWC of the party, have already endorsed President Tinubu as the next presidential candidate of the party. It has also been replicated in all six geographical zones of the country. But it does not mean that the door is closed,” he said.

He added that when the time comes, the party will release its timetable for the sale of nomination forms and no member who wishes to contest will be denied the opportunity to purchase them.
The clarification comes amid growing interest within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
