Working People United Backs Tinubu’s Policies for Stronger Nigeria

The newly launched advocacy group, Working People United (WPU), has thrown its weight behind President Bola Tinubu, affirming that his economic policies will ensure a stronger and more sustainable Nigeria.

Speaking at the WPU unveiling in Abuja on Friday, Comrade Williams Akporeha, Interim National Coordinator, said the group would actively educate Nigerians about government reforms and mobilise millions of workers to support the president’s reelection.

“Since assuming office on May 29, 2023, President Tinubu has implemented bold and decisive measures to reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth and shared prosperity,” Akporeha said.

He noted that these policies reflect the president’s courage, foresight, and commitment to national development.

He added that the administration has introduced several pro-people and pro-poor initiatives beyond wage improvements, aimed at cushioning vulnerable Nigerians from the impact of economic reforms.

“Working People United will serve as a platform to inform citizens about these reforms, promote constructive engagement between government and the people, and advocate policies that move the nation forward,” Akporeha stated. “Our goal is to mobilise workers, artisans, traders, farmers, professionals, and everyday Nigerians to support programmes that rebuild the economy and strengthen national institutions for a greater Nigeria.”

Also present at the unveiling, former Nigerian Ambassador to Madagascar, Mauritius, and Mozambique, Amb. Yamaha Osemobo expressed his support for WPU, saying he joined the movement because of its commitment to promoting the positive policies of President Tinubu.
