Voting activities in parts of Kubwa, a suburb of Abuja, were yet to fully commence as of 8:15 a.m. due to the absence of basic logistical arrangements at several polling units.
At Chief Palace, Katampe Street, Kubwa, as well as Kubwa Primary School 2, Polling Unit 046 at the Primary School football pitch, and Polling Unit 044 in front of the administrative block of Kubwa Primary School, chairs and canopies had not been set up, leaving voters standing and waiting.
Some residents who arrived early to cast their votes expressed concern over the delay, noting that the lack of seating and shade could discourage turnout, especially among elderly voters and persons with disabilities.

However, it was gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had made provisions for the chairs and canopies, but the materials were yet to be delivered to the affected polling units as of the time of this report.
“We came out early to vote, but there is no proper setup yet. People are just standing and waiting,” one voter said.
Electoral officials were sighted at some of the locations, awaiting the arrival of the materials to complete the setup.
Residents say they remain hopeful that the situation will be resolved promptly to allow the voting process to proceed smoothly.
