U.S. President Donald Trump is set to meet global business leaders in Davos on Wednesday, sources told Reuters, as his presence takes center stage at this year’s World Economic Forum in Switzerland.
CEOs from financial services, crypto, and consulting sectors have been invited to a reception following Trump’s special address. One source said the invitations, issued by the White House, include global CEOs, not only U.S. executives.
Trump will arrive in the Swiss resort on Wednesday, accompanied by senior U.S. officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Bessent is scheduled to hold a press briefing later on Monday.

The annual conference, which draws over 3,000 delegates from more than 130 countries, including 64 heads of state, has been overshadowed by Trump’s recent policy moves. His controversial suggestion that the U.S. take over Greenland and his recent tariffs on eight European countries have drawn particular attention.
International Engagements
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s special envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, will also attend and meet members of the U.S. delegation. National security advisers from various countries are scheduled to hold meetings on the sidelines, with Greenland among the topics.
Attendees, including several G7 leaders and representatives from emerging economies, are expected to closely follow Trump’s address and policy direction, highlighting the outsized influence of U.S. decisions on the global stage.
