JAMB Sets September 30 Deadline for Old Admission Offers

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates offered admission from 2021 to date to either accept or reject their outstanding admission offers.

The Board moved the deadline from Monday, August 31 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026, giving affected candidates an additional month to regularise their admission status.

JAMB said candidates who accept their outstanding offers will be able to print their admission letters, while those who reject them will have their dashboards reverted to “Not Admitted.”

The Board stressed that candidates who have already secured admission in the 2026 admission exercise but still have an earlier admission offer pending can reject the previous offer without affecting their new admission.

It also clarified that candidates who are currently studying in another institution or enrolled in a different programme from the one attached to their previous admission may accept the outstanding offer and subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion, where applicable.

JAMB warned that the September 30 deadline is final.

According to the Board, any outstanding admission offer that remains neither accepted nor rejected by the deadline will automatically be reverted to “Not Admitted.”

“There will be no further opportunity after the expiration of the extended deadline on Wednesday, 30 September 2026,” JAMB stated.

The Board urged all affected candidates to use the extension to make a decision and regularise their admission status before the final deadline.
