Ighalo Highlights Osimhen vs Akor Adams Differences at AFCON

Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has shared his view on what sets Victor Osimhen apart from teammate Akor Adams.

Both players played crucial roles in Nigeria’s 4-0 Round of 16 victory over Mozambique at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Speaking on SuperSport, Ighalo said Osimhen’s playing style makes him unique. “Not every striker has speed. Victor is a different kind of striker compared to Akor,” he said.

“He’s the kind of striker who likes to keep the ball, bully and fight. If you watch the game against Mozambique, he constantly battles defenders and seizes every chance to shoot,” Ighalo added.

Victor Osimhen, known for his pace, physicality, and goal-scoring ability, has become a key figure for the Super Eagles. Akor Adams, while effective, is considered less aggressive in direct duels.
