The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Friday stated that the administration of President Bola Tinubu cannot address every developmental challenge in the nation’s capital.
Wike made the remarks during his monthly media parley, responding to criticisms from former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi over the state of public schools in Abuja.
Obi, who visited LEA Primary School in Kapwa, expressed shock at classrooms without chairs or toilets, describing the situation as unacceptable for any responsible nation.

Reacting, Wike said, “I heard him when he was saying that public schools are in a dilapidated state across the Federal Capital Territory.
We cannot solve every problem as far as development is concerned. Government is a continuum. There were several administrations before we came, and other administrations will come after us.”

He emphasised that while the current administration is committed to development, addressing all infrastructural challenges requires time, resources, and continuous government effort.
